Saturday Farmers Market

Start your weekend at the busiest corner of the city. Every Saturday morning, more than forty local farmers, bakers, cheesemakers and makers set up on Pioneer Square Plaza, all selling what they grow, bake or make themselves.

You’ll find seasonal fruit and vegetables picked the day before, fresh bread and pastries, free-range eggs, honey, cut flowers, coffee roasted in the city and plenty of hot breakfast to eat on the go. Stallholders change through the year, so there’s always something new to try.

Live acoustic music plays from 10 am, and a free kids’ corner runs crafts and games all morning. Bring your own bags if you can. Many stalls now take cards, but a little cash is always handy.
