Friday Night Jazz

Every Friday night, Riverside Hall turns down the lights and turns up the music. Our six-piece house band plays two full sets of classic and modern jazz, from swing standards and bossa nova to newer tunes written by the band themselves.

Each week a different guest soloist joins the band on stage. We’ve had saxophonists, trumpet players, vocalists and the occasional surprise, so no two nights are the same. Between sets the band is always happy to chat and take requests.

The bar serves cocktails, local craft beer and wine all night, and the kitchen serves small plates and pizzas until 10 pm. Tables are first come, first served, so arrive early if you want a seat near the stage. There’s also standing room at the back for those who’d rather dance.

• Doors open at 7 pm, and the first set starts at 8 pm
• Your ticket covers entry only; food and drinks are paid at the bar
• The venue is step-free, with an accessible restroom
• Street parking is free after 6 pm
